Interior spaces

La Boverie houses the permanent collections of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Liège, as well as a brand new space designed to host temporary exhibitions with multiple facets, each of which represents a unique experience for visitors.

Level 0 - The permanent Fine Arts collections

One level of the building houses the City of Liège's Fine Arts collections. Lambert Lombard, Gérard de Lairesse, Ingres, Gauguin, Chagall, Picasso, Delvaux, Magritte and others bear witness to the modernity of art in all periods, from the Renaissance to the present day. The tour, which is accessible to the widest possible audience, is accompanied by educational support in four languages.

Level 1 - A space dedicated to temporary international exhibitions

The upper level hosts major temporary exhibitions over floor-space of approximately 2,800 m². These exhibitions are either organised directly by the City of Liège, or curated in partnership with the Louvre, or, sometimes, entrusted to other operators.

There is, in fact, a rich all year round programme of exhibitions on art or civilisations in which all art forms are incorporated in order to totally immerse the visitor in the chosen theme.
