YOUNG ARTISTS AREA

The City of Liège wishes to offer artists from Liège, working in the field of plastic arts, the opportunity to access a specific exhibition space within the Boverie.

This project is aimed at young artists, but also at those whose approach, regardless of age, is recent/new and who have not or only rarely proposed an exhibition on a personal basis. The works presented must be in line with the priorities of a contemporary art museum.

The objectives of this project are multiple. The aim is to enable the artists to increase the visibility of their work, but also to be confronted with the constraints of setting up an exhibition in a specified space. The importance given to contemporary creation must allow original, innovative work to be put forward.

All disciplines of the plastic arts are taken into account (painting, sculpture, graphic arts, textiles, multimedia, installations, video, etc.).

Each year in spring, a call for projects is launched via the website www.liege.be and a jury of experts meets to select the artists.
