Every two years - May. Summer BeerLovers' Festival The Summer Beer Lovers’ Festival is an invitation to discover the craft beers of Wallonia. At the heart of Liège, at the Espace Tivoli (in the Place du Marché square), thirty brewers will be demonstrating their craftsmanship and the fruits of their labours. June. September. The Gaulish Village A vibrant, lively and colourful village in which gastronomy combines with friendliness. June and July. Les Ardentes Five days of concerts covering all types of music: rock, electro, hip-hop, house, techno, drum 'n' bass, soul, variety, folk, pop, etc. July. 14th July festivities Public dances, Gaulish market and a firework display will light up this celebration of Bastille Day. July. 15th August festivities in Outremeuse The 15th August festivities bring together the people of Liège for several days of celebration. Over a week long period, dozens of activities are on offer: bric-a-brac sales, concerts, games, fun fairs and, of course, the folkloric processions and holy mass. August. A torch-lit market, shows, a grand public dance, bric-a-brac sales, games and free activities as well as a procession through the district’s streets are just a few of the events you can enjoy during these several crazy days. The Nights of the Citadel Slopes On the first Saturday in October, Liège unveils its side streets, court yards, stairways, terraces and paths, all subtly lit and cheerfully enlivened in a magic illuminated setting with a festival atmosphere. The Organ Festival The Liège Organ Festival takes place each year in the autumn and gives pride of place to the leading European organists, sometimes accompanied by another musician or a group of singers. The Christmas Village Faithful to the time-old Germanic tradition of Christmas markets, in the heart of the city, Liège’s Christmas Village recreates the special and magical spirit of the Christmas festivities. However, faithful also to its Latin character, with the support of its Council of Villagers and many food-purveying chalets, the Christmas Village innovates in a festive and friendly atmosphere that has become its distinctive feature, distinguishing it from its fellow markets in Germany and Alsace. The Christmas Skating Rink Liège’s Christmas Skating Rink is an ideal and integral part of the end of year festivities, thanks to a broad-ranging programme of activities, developed as part of the “Liège, Christmas City” concept.
