The Gaulish Village

A vibrant, lively and colourful village in which gastronomy combines with friendliness. June and July.

Liège: the most Francophile of Belgian cities. From the end of June to the unmissable 14th July celebrations and even a little longer, the Place Saint-Paul square becomes blue, white and red like the French flag. Pétanque strips, activities, concerts and especially excellent wines and regional produce are just waiting to be discovered... It is a microcosm of France that each year welcomes thousands of visitors. For the day, for pre-meal drinks, for the evening or just when passing through, there are plenty of good reasons to stop at the Village Gaulois. The organisers take things even further because each year there is a grand closure of the village with a fantastic firework display on 14th July to celebrate France and its links of friendship with the Ardent City.
