Fuzhou [People's Republic of China]

Fuzhou is the capital of the Fujian Province in the People's Republic of China and is the province's political, economic and cultural centre.

Located on the lower reaches of the Min River in the east of the Fujian Province, the city has a population of almost 8 million people and is a major logistical centre.

The objective of this partnership, approved by the City Council on 25th April 2016 and signed on 10th June 2016 in the presence of a large Chinese delegation, is economic development, promotion of tourism, cultural exchanges, sport and education. It will draw from complementary dynamics such as the partnership and exchanges that have existed between the Provinces of Liège and Fujian for a number of years.
