Ramallah [Palestine]

Ramallah, nicknamed the fiancée of Palestine, is a dynamic and cosmopolitan city that is the focus of political, cultural and economic power in Palestine.

Open to the world, the City of Ramallah successfully combines tradition and modernity.

The partnership between the cities of Liège and Ramallah was made official on 22nd November 2014. It is based on themes linked to youth, their future and education by favouring projects related to French-speaking communities, information and communication technologies, as well as the environment.

A festival is organised each year in Liège to give pride of place to Palestinian culture in Liège within the scope of the March Diversity programme, with the help of the Liège-Ramallah Commission.
